About Hamid Halimi
Since he was a teenager he’s been interested in animation, but his social stats caused him to do work and educate in other fields. he was 18 when he started to learn drawing and painting as a pre-training for animation creation. After 6 months, his first teacher, Ali Sadatipoor, suggested that he must gain experience in nature painting. At the same time, he met Hossain Termechi, a master of nature painting in Mashhad, and these two masters influenced his future.
This flow caused changes in his life, and his time was allocated to nature 3 times a week, at other times he was Painting in his room. Although he used to have a specified Plan for his life, his interest in painting had increased so much that after 2 years he decided to leave his former life and change his academic education. there were many problems on his journey, but with his mother’s help, he was able to enter a university of art in 2005 and graduated with a master’s in art in 2012.
Frequently since he began painting, he tried to learn both colored gray, which to make with primary and secondary colors, and the impasto technique, which shows us he had taken influence from Rembrandt’s paintings.
This attempt and enthusiasm to use colors caused his friends to call him ‘’the god of colored grays” In addition, within the last semesters of his BA, the art of deformation was becoming valuable for him. He used photography to study this art, However, his paintings in that period show us influences from Francis Bacon’s paintings and much respect for him. He always says that I had taken the most influences from Rembrandt and Bacon, and all of this led him to choose the subject titled “Analysis of Subject in the Works of Francis Bacon” for his MA thesis.
After he graduated, social matters and women’s problems were highlighted for him so he decided to open two exhibitions titled “Do not bother, nothing to watch here!” and “women artists.” A few years later, he started to teach at university at a friend’s insistence. But always his single main purpose has been painting. Continuing, he understood that has to work on his sensation and find more experience in using deformable forms, instance bodies, and last but not least he used incidental methods besides his former techniques. This collection takes the “appear.anc” name.
